Ummi Mohamed Badiy is a trailblazing professional accountant, auditor, banker, and leader with over three decades of impactful service in the corporate world. Her remarkable career at the Central Bank of Tanzania reflects her deep expertise in finance, banking, risk management, and internal audit; and her unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.
A mentor at heart, Ummi has inspired future leaders through her guidance of CFA Research Challenge teams, shaping analytical minds and nurturing confidence in the next generation of finance professionals. A Certified Public Accountant and proud alumna of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and the Institute of Finance Management, she continues to expand her professional frontier, currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
Beyond her corporate achievements, Ummi is a champion for women’s empowerment and social impact. Her work with organizations like Pink Hijab and Volunteers in Development reflects her deep belief that empowered women create empowered communities.
